Veritas Mobile App
Project Briefing:
Veritas Instrument Rentals is the leading instrument rental business in the USA. They provide high-quality instruments to schools and students, helping to reduce the upfront cost of ownership.
Due to the large number of students learning on rented instruments, Veritas wanted to develop a mobile app, available on Apple and Android devices, to support students during their practice sessions.
Logic Replace collaborated with Veritas to define the app’s goals and requirements, which included:
UI Framework Evaluation
We evaluated several mobile UI frameworks and recommended Bootstrap Mobile for its strong support of responsive design, ease of development, and compatibility with hybrid mobile deployment. This ensured the app would function smoothly across various screen sizes and devices.
Branding Alignment
The app was designed to align visually with the existing RentFromHome (RFH) brand, using the same logo, typography, and color palette. This consistency reinforces trust and brand identity for Veritas customers.
Navigation Planning
We created a streamlined navigation structure that cleanly separates features intended for Students and Parents. This clarity ensures users can easily find tools relevant to their role, improving usability and engagement.
UI Design
Initial mockups were created for the home screen and key feature pages. These mockups were based on RFH branding and Bootstrap Mobile framework, focusing on usability and ease of interaction.
Feature Integration (Student-Focused)
- Secure Authentication
Students can register, log in, and recover lost passwords through a secure, streamlined flow, ensuring that only verified users can access the app’s features. - Metronome Tool
A built-in, interactive metronome helps students stay on tempo during practice. The interface includes play/stop controls and visually responsive elements. - Audio Recording Tool
Students can record, save, and review their practice sessions. The app provides a list view for playback and includes an option to delete recordings with a confirmation prompt. - Practice Calendar
An integrated calendar allows students to schedule and track their practice sessions, helping them stay consistent and accountable with their routines. - Fingering Charts
Students can download instrument-specific fingering charts directly from the app—providing quick access to learning resources during practice.

Framework Implementation
We confirmed Bootstrap Mobile as the foundation for building a smooth, responsive interface across iOS and Android devices.
Branding Consistency
Applied RentFromHome’s branding throughout all screens to maintain visual consistency and strengthen Veritas’ identity across platforms.
Navigation Development
Designed a dual-path navigation structure for Students and Parents, focusing on user clarity and easy access to key functions.
Core Feature Development:
Metronome Integration
Embedded an intuitive metronome interface with real-time play/pause functionality and tempo feedback.
Audio Recording Module
Enabled students to record practice clips, view saved files, and delete recordings with confirmation safeguards.
Practice Calendar
Built a custom calendar for logging and viewing practice sessions.
Fingering Chart Downloads
Created a resource center for students to download printable fingering charts by instrument type.
App Deployment
Logic Replace handled the full development and testing cycle, and successfully published the app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for students to download and use.
